Royal Navy warship, HMS Bulwark, docks at Mormugao

A Royal Navy ship, HMS Bulwark (L 15), arrived on a diplomatic visit to Goa on 06 Nov 13. After interacting with the Indian Navy at Goa, HMS Bulwark departed on 10 Nov 13.
The magnificient warship, carrying a crew of almost 500 personnel, was berthed at Mormugao Port.
The ship is an Assault Helicopter carrier Landing Platform Dock (LPD). She has a tonnage of 18,800 tons and is 176 mts in length. The ship, commanded by Captain Andrew P Burns, is the Flagship of Commodore Paddy A McAlpine, the UK Task Group Commander of the British Forces in the region.
