Sudesh Narvekar P.I. Traffic Vasco awarded CM’s Gold Medal for Meritorious Service
/>Sudesh Narvekar, P.I. (Traffic), Vasco, was awarded the Chief Minister’s Gold Medal for meritorious service on the occasion of Liberation Day, on 19th Dec 2014.
His career began with his selection for the Goa Police Service through the State Selection Commission in 1998. After training at the Police Academy in Nashik, and a probationary stint at the Colaba Police Station in Mumbai, he was posted to Mapusa Police Station for a short stint and thereafter to Panaji.
He was promoted to the rank of Police Inspector in Aug 2006 and served in various Police Stations that include Porvorim, Quepem, Margao, Sanguem, Collem and at the Immigration department at the Dabolim Airport.
He has been instrumental in investigating several major crimes that involved murder, rape and drug trafficking that were successfully prosecuted and culminated in life imprisonment for the culprits.
As the P.I. traffic in Vasco Sudesh Narvekar has been tirelessly working towards making traffic flow in Vasco smooth and accident free. He has also been interacting actively with the municipality and other government departments in arriving at solutions to the parking problems.
The award of the CM’s Gold Medal is a richly deserved recognition of Sudesh Narvekar’s commitment and efficiency.
