BITS (Goa) win the regional round of the ‘Tata Crucible Campus Quiz 2014′
The 10th edition of the Tata Crucible Campus Quiz kick started with an exhilarating battle of wits in Goa. India’s largest and highest rated inter-collegiate business quiz received enthusiastic response from the campus crowd, cheering and supporting their peers. Bhargav Vishwanathan and Ananth Kachroo from BITS Pilani emerged as winners in a neck to neck fight at the Goa regional round of the Tata Crucible Campus Quiz 2014. Bhargav Vishwanathan and Ananth Kachroo will compete with winners from 7 other cities in the West Zone Finals.
A cash prize of Rs. 100,000/-* was presented to the winning team and Rs. 50,000/-* to the runners-up team. The Tata group, which has always believed in giving back to society, is endeavoring to inculcate the culture of philanthropy amongst participants of the Tata Crucible this year. The increase of Rs. 25,000 and Rs. 15,000 from the Regional Winners and Runners up prize respectively will be contributed directly to a charity of the team’s choice fulfilling specified conditions.The Goa regional round of Tata Crucible Campus Quiz 2014 enjoyed an overwhelming response with 40 teams participating from colleges across Goa.
The city regional rounds will be followed by Zonal finals which will be organized in Mumbai (West zone), New Delhi (North zone), Kolkata (East zone) and Bengaluru (South zone).
The top two teams from each zone would battle it out for the Tata Crucible Campus Quiz 2014 title at the National Finals to be held in Mumbai in April, 2014. This will be followed by the International Finals where the winners and runners-up from the Indian edition of the quiz will compete with the winners and runner ups of the Singapore and UK editions, held earlier this financial year, to win the International Championship title.
