Ingredients 

  • 1 cup      ……………..  Besan (sieved)
  • 2 cups      ……………..  Ghee
  • 2 cups      ……………..  Sugar
  • 1/2 cup      ……………..  Water

 

Method

  1. Put 1/2 cup ghee in a kadai.
  2. Add besan and fry over slow flame.
  3. Stir and remove any lumps until a nice aroma.
  4. Remove fried besan from flame.
  5. In another vessel add 2 cups sugar 1/2 cup water.
  6. Heat mixture until sugar is 1 string consistency.
  7. Pour the fried besan into this sugar syrup. Keep stirring.
  8. Melt remaining Ghee in another kadai.
  9. Now keep adding this hot ghee to the Sugar Besan mixture in small quantities.
  10. Keep stirring until it leaves the sides of the kadai.
  11. Pour on a greased plate and cut into small pieces.
